Sure is cold out

Today's installment is like one of those awkward conversations that you have at a party or in the elevator at work where you feel like there should be a million things to talk about, but you just can't get past "what do you do" or "sure is cold out" or "when are you due".

And none of those conversation topics are really as bad as people make them out to be. Your job, the weather, and a pregnancy are all pretty big deals. But sometimes it just seems amazing to me that conversation is ever difficult. There are millions of things in the world to talk about, tons of questions to ask any given other person, an unlimited number of subjects to have opinions on. But as many topics as there are in the world, sometimes you just get overwhelmed and your mind comes up blank. Like today.

So...I hear it's supposed to get even colder this weekend.
