Hey hey hey
I know that you've all been anxious for updates on my downstairs neighbor, what he could possibly do to top having incredibly loud sex at 5 AM, having loud conversations with his guy friends about going to Camelot or blasting Vanilla Ice to floor-shaking volume levels (note: that's my floor; not his). So now I have another chapter:
Getting home from dinner last night, I hear him playing his guitar and singing pretty loudly, which I would be a hypocrite to get annoyed at, since I do the same thing. But the song? "Knockin' On Heaven's Door". So what's an upstairs neighbor do about this? If I'm knockin' on his door, what do I ask him to do? Play a better song? Stop singing in that bar-band affected-voice way? Just cut the chatter and smash his guitar? Suggestions are welcome.

Well, was it the GNR version or the Dylan version? 'Cus the Dylan version ain't bad - but, I imagine it was neither if he was singing it - it was probably the Crap Version.
I bet if you started playing along in your apartment, he'd get annoyed and stop. Unless he's into the duet thing.
You could take the passive-aggressive route. Locate his breaker box panel if they are in the basement of the building, and shut his power off. That's what I've done before.
