A compilation of random lists
Reasons that I am stressed out about going to a wedding and going to a beach, things that I should feel relaxed and excited about:
- My suit jacket has a hole in it and the pants are too baggy
- I have to try and buy a new shirt this afternoon, and possibly a new suit
- I'm beating myself up for being so neglectful of the State of My Suit
- I always forget something
- I'm a freak for worrying about these things
- Petula Clark, "Downtown"
- Jefferson Starship, "Miracles"
- PAS/CAL, "The Bronzed Beach Boys"
- Joe Jackson, "Always Something Breaking Us In Two"
- Joe Jackson, "Stepping Out"
- The Style Council, "A Solid Bond In Your Heart"
- Carole King, "It's Too Late"

No big whoop. As long as people can't see the hole, you're in good shape. Unless it's your wedding. Then you're screwed.
But mostly because you didn't tell me you were getting married.
I feel an incredible need to do a close reading on your song choices (breaking and healing imagery intertwined with a lot of "getting the hell out of dodge"), but I fear that might just stress you out further...
It does look really interpret-able, doesn't it? Sadly, there's no good reason for any of those songs to be stuck in my head or warrant an iTunes purchase. Just crap like, "I can't believe I don't have an mp3 of 'Solid Bond In Your Heart'" or "I can't believe I don't have an mp3 of 'It's Too Late'" or "My God, the new PAS/CAL show poster just caused me to spit tea on my computer" or "When mentioning to Jordan Baker that I should go hunting for Pablo Cruise songs, I found that the song 'Miracles', which I had always thought was by Pablo Cruise is actually by Jefferson Starship."
Nothing substantial.
