What's in a name #475

I'm can't be the only person who noticed today that one of the Duke lacrosse players arrested for alledged (sic) rape is named Reade. I'm sure that we're all on the same page here, but I'm just going to say it: the more you pervert the spelling, the more you pervert the man.

Keep it real and lawful, Reids.

Just curious...why the "(sic)"? Are you convinced of their guilt?

Reid said...

No...just a reference to the fact that the guys at the lacrosse house apparently put up a sign outside the house that wrote out the dictionary definition of alleged, only they spelled it "alledged".

Oh. Duh. I read right past that. ;)
