Daddy's job is making him very tired, sweetie

There's all sorts of mysteries about adulthood when you're younger, things you don't understand until you're actually living them. How could adults find a conversation about retirement plans so fascinating? How could you want to stay at a job that makes you crave alcohol first thing when you come home from it? Why would you want to go to bed early when you have the choice to stay up as late as you want?

The demystifying continues as I find myself being something I promised myself I'd never be: too busy. I just can't get anything done, and that obviously includes this page. I'll still get to it every now and then, so for those of you who very nicely check back often, there will be stuff. But this is an official stamp on what's already clear: updates here will be few and far between until I can get my life more organized.

Oh, and Scott won the word verification contest. Nothing was going to beat chainsaw drumsticks. Nothing. Ever.

Hi Reid,

I am back at work part-time and feel it again. After I leave - I crave a drink. Crave like need, need like be careful one could become four. If one becomes four, then tomorrow becomes cranky day, which leads to cheeseburger and just one (not) night. It was a spiral I was very familiar with my first three years.

This doesn't happen after a photography class.

Woo-hoo!

(about the contest, not about you being too busy.)
