This year's model

Of all the mornings I picked to make a conscious effort to read the descriptions of the articles in my feed reader instead of just glazing over the headlines, I picked a good one. The description attached to the review of Lucky Soul's The Great Unwanted intrigued me enough to go, um, borrow a copy of the album and...

Wow. It's not too far removed from the Pipettes, and it's is a definite relation to Saint Etienne's Good Humor, and given that I love both of those albums, it's not shocking the I love it. But like both of those albums, it's about more than just the sound. Sound is the looks of a song, but the arrangement and feeling are the personality, and Lucky Soul has personality in spades. Go listen to "Get Outta Town!" and "The Great Unwanted" and give both a chance to show you everything they have. Fantastic stuff.

See what happens when you pay attention?
