"Hail", hell

Redskins fans are so cute. There are not other fans anywhere in sports that are as optimistic as 'skins fans. They could be suiting up the worst team in the history of the franchise to go up against an All-Star team, and those fans would still honestly, deeply believe that they have a great shot of winning.

Which, of course, I guess they always do. Any given Sunday, etc. But as they go up against a pretty tough task--squeaking into the playoffs and then going against the Seahawks on a rainy Seattle field--there's still no harsh words or anything but belief from even the crankiest of fans. They don't even see the possibility that they could lose. It's impressive.

It'll end in tears.

heh. that's pretty much the opposite of the buzz I hear about the Titans this week (who also squeaked in) - it's hopeful, but definitely not optimistic...nor should it be.

But, hey, the Titans march to the superbowl begins tomorrow!

Yeah, sorry, man. I honestly do really admire skins fans for your optimism, though. I wish more cities were like that. Hell, I wish I could be like that.

Ultimately, I think that both the Titans and the Redskins showed a little bit that it's good to give teams a chance with the sixth seed, but maybe they were a sixth seed for a reason.

I guess I wept tears of joy when it looked like they were gonna win. By the time of the 2nd interception returned for a TD I was all out of tears...

I think it showed how important home field advantage was. Seattle are as unbeatable as a home team gets! Glad to see they're off to Lambeau. I'll give them more credit if they can do to the Packers what they did to the Redskins. Not because I think the Redskins are as good as the Packers, but whether they can do this on the road...
