Fistfull of Pale Ex-Lover

Class, please say hello to the three new songs in the jukebox:

Antony & The Johnsons, "Fistfull of Love"
I'm still not really sure what to think of this record, but this song's more-upbeat, almost-R&B instrumentation was the first song on the record to capture me. I think it takes away from the melodramaticism of Antony's voice, which is, at best, an acquired taste.

The Ditty Bops, "Pale Yellow"
It's a fun album, but none of it grabbed me off the bat. This song stuck out from the rest of the album's neo-vaudville folk, but listening to it on it's own almost made me think of Lillith Fair stuff. Still, some nice chord changes and a catchy melody.

Stars, "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead"
This one is actually in heavy rotation. Because I love it. Which is how it usually goes. Like all the best Stars songs, it's good until Amy Millan starts singing, and then it's jaw-dropping. It's not as amazing as "Heart" or "Elevator Love Letter" from their last album, but it's still worthy of the "Repeat one" setting.
