What he's crying about: Never has any good ideas
It's true that everyone gets insomnia every now and then, usually because they're stressing about something. My insomnia is the worst kind, though: the A.D.D. insomnia, where the worrying is punctuated with subject jumps every 15 seconds or so, and every conceivable subject in the world is touched on. Worrying about, say, finding a new apartment can turn to wondering if Borders has a book on web marketing, with the Simpsons, a mix CD for my sister, the beach trip in September, dying house plants, and why the front door was left unlocked all making an appearance in between. In two minutes.
So last night, when I woke up at my traditional waking hour of 3 am, I was finally able to get to sleep by mushing together my current problems with my bad eating habits into the Crying While Eating presentation style. It really works!
What he's eating: Carnitas burritoIf I could get around to it, I would film the TV one. It'd be great to be flipping around the channels, sobbing harder when realizing every channel has the president on it.
What he's crying about: Housing costs spiraling out of reach
What he's eating: bacon, egg and cheese on everything bagel
What he's crying about: Tech support won't write back
What he's eating: Buffalo chicken wrap
What he's crying about: She's so beautiful it hurts
What he's eating: linguni with cheap red sauce and cheap red wine
What he's crying about: President pre-empted trash TV
What he's eating: ginger scone
What he's crying about: Will never really have closure
What he's eating: 'hint of lime' tortilla chips
What he's crying about: Can't sleep

Damn quicktime site! I can't watch the clips. Why can't they just use windows media like everyone else?!
Here's a suggestion, Scott, though maybe it's way too technical and complicated: get Quicktime. It's better.
The problem is that the PCs in my office are now "locked down" so I can't install anything. And I'm without internet at home for a few weeks while I get new service set up.
I don't agree that it's better though. It's the typical Apple product...a less practical, cutesy version of something else, created just so the Mac folks can act all anti-establishment by not using Microsoft.
I have to agree with Scott. I don't think quicktime is all that good. Actually, for my money, I'll take the RealPlayer or WinAmp any day of the week. Windows Media is also good enough for me.
Truthfully, though, most of my experience with Quicktime comes from those newfangled "Enhanced" CDs with videos built into them. I usually find the enhancements to be annoying. I don't even watch the videos. Does anyone like those enhanced CDs?
Quicktime is better picture quality and smaller file sizes. The controls are a little too basic, but it's a better, more flexible kind of video. Has nothing to do with hating Microsoft, and this is from someone who has both PC and Mac, and, if given the choice, would say that I prefer Windows, though I like both.
I'm not a fan of the enhanced cd either. I never bother watching the videos or the other enhancements. Of course, I never bother looking through the liner notes and stuff either, other than reading the track listing and sometimes the lyrics (if printed) if there's a line I can't understand. I'd rather just get a plain looking cd and pay a few bucks less if I had the option.
I still don't think quicktime has better picture quality.
