Congratulations! If you have any of your bonus left over, I'm still looking for investors for my new startup, ZipPets (you know, like ZipCar, but with cats and dogs...for people who like pets but only want the responsibility part time). I'll send you a prospectus.
That's a good idea, Scott, but I hope you're working huge legal costs into your startup plan. It's not just for when Fluffy #27 goes all Wolverine on some customer's face, but for those times when a customer comes to you and says that the pet that he rented "accidentally" ran into the microwave and then he "accidentally" shut the door, pressed Cook > 1-5-0-0 > Power Level: 7 > Rotate: yes > Start. I mean, the lawsuits could give you some good publicity, but it could be a nightmare of a headache.
I just learned of this yesterday. There is such a thing in Holland as a 'share pet.' People go in on a pet together. One person keeps it on a weekend, perhaps, and the other during the week. Or whatever arrangement they come up with. I plan to do more investigating before I blog about it...
