You and your song
YOU...love lyrics, but couldn't care less about the music behind them. Preferably, the music is as bland as an hour-chewed piece of gum. A song where the lyrics get the spotlight, but that has nothing resembling melody and music that's a triumph of a completely generic rock 'n' roll sound would be right up your alley.
Your song: The Hold Steady, "Hot Soft Light"
YOU...loved Supergrass' I Should Coco. A lot. You don't mind that the British music machine churns out the same stuff every five years and calls it brand new. As long as it's energetic, fun and catchy, that's good enough for you. You love Artic Monkeys, you cheeseball.
Your song: The Fratellis, "Henrietta"
YOU...are named Annie. You love "descending chords". A song with a descending melody that repeats your name over and over as though it was written for you might just be perfect.
Your song: Guillemots, "Annie, Let's Not Wait"
YOU...love the soft rock of the '60's, but wish that it had a little of the rhythm of '60's tropicalia AND that it was something that wouldn't remind you of oldies stations. And you use words like "glorious" to describe songs.
Your song: The Millenium, "To Claudia On Thursday"
